The final installment in our summer series, “Things I’ve Learned Through Scripture” is all about Scripture. It is God’s gift to us. How should we approach it as followers of Jesus?

Scripture calls us to “rejoice always”. This isn’t always easy. Pastor Mike examines the psalmist’s call to rejoice, and practice what it says. Prepare to be challenged! And to help get you in the right frame of mind, read through a few of the following Psalms: 8, 9, 16, 21, 24, 33, 47, 66, 84, 92, 95, 96, 98, 99, 100, 103-105, 113, 117, 134, 138, 146-150.
Living In the Kingdom/Living Out the Kingdom series: Acceptance and Grace. Pastor Mike explores the example Jesus gives of extending grace to the notorious “woman at the well” – a woman known for being married and divorced several times, and now living with a man she was not wed to – a woman who was not accepted by her community because of the choices she made. What can we learn from this interaction about the way we should interact with our neighbours? And what can we learn about what Jesus thinks about us – despite our own sinfulness?
Pastor Mike is preaching through a series called “Living In the Kingdom, Living Out the Kingdom” (LITKLOTK), examining Jesus’ life as an example of how we are to live as Kingdom builders on earth.
